Of Bongo Bongo

In the village of the Sheikah, Kakariko Village, there once lived a powerful hero. He was known under the nickname of Bongo Bongo, his real name long forgotten. He was the eldest son of the leader of the village, which also made him the successor of his father. Envied by his little brother, he was treated like he was the prince of Hyrule, and his brother just like an ordinary Sheikah. Bongo Bongo was known for his powerful shape-shifting sorcery, which was activated by his bongo drum, which he always carried with him. He went on adventures whenever he liked to go to wherever he liked to go. He slayed the most powerful creatures trying to gain power over Hyrule. The creatures of the evil forces who had knowledge of his enemy, he took to his home and tortured them with almost every manner of torture men can think of. Bone-breaking, body-stretching, all the devices where there. In that house in Kakariko Village, next to the Kakariko Windmill. This is the story of the Dark Phantom Beast, Bongo Bongo.

The door suddenly opened. A ray of sunlight entered the house, passing the body of the Sheikah who just opened the door. "Bongo!" he said. The pillow and blanket on the bed moved. Then, nothing. "BONGO!" the Sheikah yelled again. The pile on the bed moved again, this time falling of the bed. A head rose.
"So, you're finally up. Hurry, your horse is waiting for you." Bongo looked up.
He saw the Sheikah in the door, but it was merely a silhouette, because his eyes weren't accustomed to the daylight yet. He blinked a few times, and then recognized his father standing in the doorway. "Come on, stand up! If you're such a hero on your adventures, you must be a hero in the morning too", he laughed.
Bongo stood up. "So, everything is ready?", he asked. "Of course it is. They're all waiting for you."
He quickly changed into his normal clothes while his father was waiting. He then walked outside, and saw a big black horse, saddled and with almost all his important belongings behind the saddle.
"Ah, there he is!" said someone. It was his niece, Impa, who was also holding the horse. Bongo walked at her. "Good morning", he said. "Good morning to you too!", said the little Impa cheerfully, while handing the reins over to him. "I'm already late, I'll be off now." is what Bongo said while he mounted the horse. "I'll see you soon then!" she said with a big smile. "I'll be missing you!" where her words while the black horse galloped away. The gate of the village opened, the gate guards nodded at him as a sign of "take care", and Bongo went off to Hyrule Field.

Galloping over the large field, Bongo unsheathed his sword. It was like any other sword, except it was entirely black. The pommel was the Sheikah emblem, with the tear of the eye being the handle of the sword. Where he was going to? The great hero and successor of the Sheikah was heading for Kokiri Forest, only to pass through it to go into the Lost Woods. Why?
Because word was spread that there lived a cruel beast that would stop anything in the forest from growing, devouring anything that dared to come into those woods. He, Bongo Bongo, Tamer of the Evil Forces, would slay that creature.

At nightfall he arrived at Kokiri Forest.
He dismounted his horse and looked around. All the Kokiri were in their houses, not only because it was night. They also stayed in their homes during the day. It was because they were frightened by the beast. He walked to the northern side of the forest and climbed up; there, he just followed the path. Now he was standing right in front of the entrance of the Lost Woods. He remembered what his father told him. "Son, slaying the beast won't be the biggest problem. The problem will be finding the beast. The Lost Woods are a maze, and those who get lost there will die slowly and turn into a Stalfos! Please watch your step..." With that in mind, he stepped through the opening and entered the Lost Woods.

The night passed and the inhabitants of Kokiri Forest heard the screams of the beast that night. After that, the sun rose and Bongo came walking out of the forest.

He sheathed his sword and mounted his horse; another beast was slayed. In and extraordinary good mood, he made his horse gallope even faster than usual and at noon he arrived at his village. The little Impa was waiting for him. "Bongo! You're already back!" She ran towards him. Suprised, Bongo asked "You've been waiting for me here the whole time?" Impa turned red. "I-I just happened to pass here and then you entered." Bongo laughed. Then the door of is house opened and his father came outside. "Ah, there you are, son. I've been waiting for you. You took long." And Bongo's good mood was gone. "Since you're my eldest son and thus successor, I need to inform you about how it is to be the leader of the village."
