Omschrijving:
Sora, een jongen van 10, wilt een reis naar Unova maken. Op de boot op weg naar deze regio ontmoet hij een meisje genaamd Chiara. Na een praatje met haar te hebben gemaakt, blijkt dat zij ook naar dezelfde stad reist. Ze besluiten samen op reis te gaan, om samen de gekste mee te maken. Na een tijdje samen Unova af te hebben gereisd, komt Chiara haar vader weer tegen. Het blijkt dat haar vader nu lid is van een organisatie genaamd Team Plasma, mensen die pokémon van hun trainers willen scheiden, oftewel de pokémon 'bevrijden'. Chiara besluit op dit punt om alleen verder te gaan, zichzelf zwerend dat ze haar vader op het rechte pad zou zetten. Ze laat Sora en Roxas verward achter, die uiteindelijk besluiten hun tocht verder te zetten, om zijn gymbadges te halen. Zal het ze lukken Chiara's vader terug te krijgen en Team Plasma te stoppen?
